Board Member - Luzelena Servi
Elena was born in Guadalajara Mexico and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 9. Growing up, she was always interested in the arts and fashion and graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FDIM) Los Angeles with a degree in Fashion Design. Ms. Servi worked as a designer for various fashion houses where many of her designs were featured in Macy's, Bloomingdales, Dillards and many other well-known department stores.
Ms. Servi has a rare ability of mixing her artistic and business sides. Eventually, Elena’s business side took priority and she decided to start a new career in the Real Estate industry. Elena worked as a successful Real Estate agent for over 15 years serving the South East area of Los Angeles, working predominantly with the Latino market and specializing with first time buyers and investors.
In 2007, Elena was recruited by Aflac and became part of the local Los Angeles sales team. Since then, her main focus has been in serving the Hispanic community by bringing to them the many benefits of obtaining an Aflac policy. Ms. Servi knew Aflac was a perfect fit as it provided her the opportunity to achieve unlimited earning potential and a chance to make a difference in people’s lives. Elena attributes her success to Aflac, the Fortune 500 company she represents and is proud of Aflac products, services, and the value it provides to her customers.
Elena is very active in the community, charities and professional organizations such as the Latin Business Association of Los Angeles, the National Latina Business Woman Association, among many others. In addition, she has been involved in several Hispanic community projects.
Ms. Servi was honored to have taught at Margarita O'Farril Charm School for over 5 years, where her main role was educating young Latina women, teaching them etiquette and proper social skills as well as helping them increase their self-esteem and confidence.
In addition, Elena has traveled the world extensively, being exposed to many different cultures. She is a self-proclaimed foodie, enjoying foods from all over the world.Senior Vice President and Regional Manager for the Neighborhood Lending team at Bank of America Home Loans, one of the world’s leading financial services companies.
