About Us
Our History
CHCCLI was founded in 1994 by a group of corporate individuals and representatives from Hispanic employee associations. Monthly meetings were established from the onset and a Speaker Series began in 1996, where guest speakers presented information about their achievements, Latino workforce trends, critical analysis of issues pertaining to Latinos, and other insightful information to CHCCLI members and guests.
In 2007 CHCCLI expanded its programs and developed the Leadership Series Workshops designed to promote business, professional and personal development of our members and guests. Also, in 2008 we established our first scholarship fund and will be announcing the criteria for this program during Q4 of 2009.
Giving back to our communities has been a founding principle of CHCCLI for the past 15 years. Our programs include an Annual Christmas Toy Drive where toys are collected for needy children. We also work closely with White Memorial Medical Center and Proyecto Pastoral to distribute these toys to children and families of the Boyle Heights community.
Our Mission
The California Hispanic Corporate Council Leadership Institute was organized to provide leadership and direction through the promotion, development and advancement of Hispanics in corporate and community settings.
