Board Member - Mike Mendez
Mike Mendez joined Warner Bros. Entertainment in 2005 as Sr. Finance Manager for the Warner Bros. Motion Picture Imaging Group overseeing the Theatrical and Television Post Production billing operations, forecasting and accounting processes. Mike was one of the founding members of the WB Unidos Latino Affinity Group and served as Executive Director from 2007 to 2009. He currently serves as advisor to the current board.
Mike worked at The Walt Disney Co. from 1998 to 2000 as Sr. Auditor with the Corporate Audit Group specializing operational audits of the Disney Record & Music Publishing Divisions and the ABC/ESPN Networks. He subsequently transferred to the Disneyland Resorts in 2001 to work on the Marketing & Finance rollout of the New California Adventure Park. Mike completed his tenure at Disneyland working as Accounting Manager for the ESPN Zone Restaurants. Mike served as Finance Project Manager for the 2003 Disneyland “Disneyana” Convention in Anaheim.
Prior to working in the Entertainment Industry, Mike worked at Bank of America as Asst. Vice President, Internal Audit working in the Merchant Banking and Wholesale Banking Operations in Los Angeles and New York.
Mike is a graduate of California State University, Long Beach majoring in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and a Certified Internal Auditor with the Institute of Internal Auditors. Mike has also served on the Los Angeles Board of ALPFA (Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting).
Mike’s personal interests include Piano, Singing, Music Composition and Arranging and Salsa Dancing.
