2008 Christmas Party & Toy Drive

The 2008 Annual Christmas Party and Toy Drive was a tremendous success with over 100 attendees at the City Club donating toys to Proyecto Pastoral and White Memorial Medical Center. CHCCLI has had a partnership with these two organizations whose programs support members of the Boyle Heights community.  The CHCCLI Board and members welcomed the opportunity to help in some small way to make this holiday season happier for the deserving children served by Proyecto Pastoral and White Memorial Medical Center. 

In addition to the Toy Drive, the Christmas Celebration recognized a corporate sponsor who has supported CHCCLI throughout the years.   A special recognition award was presented to George Ramirez, Senior Vice President and Market President, Union Bank of California, for his long-standing support of and collaboration with CHCCLI.  “George has been a strong supporter of CHCCLI.  He has served as president, has mentored several CHCCLI members, and has provided ongoing guidance to the CHCCLI Board.  We are very fortunate to have George Ramirez in our corner.  We are happy to be able to publicly recognize George for his ongoing assistance to our organization” says Rose Ann Djelmane, CHCCLI President.
 
Also recognized for their sponsorship of the Toy Drive Event was Robert Quintero, Transtech Engineers; Lupita Sanchez Cornejo, AT&T; Lenny McNeill, EVP, Multicultural Markets, Countrywide; and Francisco Uribe, Government Affairs,  Home Depot.  “We could not be successful without the contributions of corporate partners who recognize CHCCLI for the work it does in the community” says Liz Rollice, CHCCLI Speaker Series Chairperson.
